This is the time of year that we, as sports fans, should really be thankful for. We’re in the midst of the NBA playoffs, the NHL playoffs, and the MLB season is starting to pick up as we head into summer. Thus, this week’s topics make for some interesting fodder.

For tonight’s #SSsports Twitter Chat, we will discuss the following topics:
1. NFL: Rashard Mendenhall stirred the pot with some controversial tweets regarding Osama bin Laden and 9/11. He has since apologized for the timing of the matter and attempted to clarify his previous statements. What are your thoughts on Mendenhall’s actions?
2. NBA: The Boston Celtics have been battling injuries and the younger Miami Heat. They’re now down 2-0 and haven’t looked anywhere close to sharp or in championship form. Are the Celtics finally done or do they have one last run in them?
3. MLB: Rumors spiraled today that the New York Mets could trade Jose Reyes to the San Francisco Giants. Seeing as how Reyes is a free agent at the end of the season and will command money that the Mets can’t afford, a trade seems prudent. How will the Mets’ financial situation affect their current roster with Reyes, David Wright ($14.25 million), and Carlos Beltran (free agent after 2011 season)?
